Interests were mainly focused on tech stocks which had been sold down recently.
- On the home front, the FBMKLCI ended marginally lower possibly due to some
last minute selling from foreign funds. - Notwithstanding this, we noticed there was accumulation of stocks,
especially on the laggards. Overall sentiment remains cautious as we enter into a crucial stage of this quarter earnings reporting season. - Meanwhile, we are heartened that the Plantation sector had seen some upgrades, endorsing our positive stance since 2 quarters ago.
- For today, we expect the index to hover within the 1,720 –1,735 range.
