Qualifying is straightforward. Maintain a minimum cash balance, then meet ANY ONE path within the quarter.
1. Maintain RM100,000 minimum cash balance
Keep at least RM100,000 cash balance in your Rakuten Trade account during the relevant quarterly review period.
2. Choose ONE qualification path within the quarter
Pick the path that fits your trading style: trade at scale, transfer your portfolio in, or maintain high-value holdings.
Trade at Scale
Minimum RM15 million combined trading value across Bursa Malaysia, U.S., or Hong Kong markets within the quarter.
Transfer In
Transfer shares worth a minimum of RM1 million into Rakuten Trade within the quarter.

Can I apply for RakuPremium?
No. RakuPremium is not application-based. Status is awarded based on trading activity and portfolio size.
When is eligibility reviewed?
Eligibility is reviewed quarterly, at the end of each calendar quarter.
What happens if I no longer meet the criteria?
If you do not meet the criteria in any quarter, your RakuPremium status and privileges will be removed. You may requalify in a subsequent quarter by meeting the programme requirements again.
Is the brokerage rebate applicable to all markets?
No. The brokerage rebate applies to
Bursa Malaysia trades only and is credited in
RT Points. However, the RT Points credited can be used to
offset trading fees (MYR settlement) across all supported markets, including
Bursa Malaysia, Hong Kong, and the U.S.
How is the RM15 million trading requirement calculated?
It is based on the
total combined trading value across supported markets, including
Bursa Malaysia,
U.S., and
Hong Kong, during the quarterly review period.
When will the RT Points be credited to my account?
RT Points are credited on the
3rd Monday of the following month.
Example: Trades executed in January will be calculated based on programme mechanics, and RT Points will be credited on the 3rd Monday of February.
